by accident one day and I could not believe that quilts could look that way.
Her signature straight-line quilting and incredible color sense as well as the beautiful

Her quilt was using Thimble Blossoms Lucky pattern, and made for her little girl. This pillow, which I also love was made for a little girl fighting cancer. This really touches my heart. I am blessed that Terri made this pillow for her. Thank you so much Terri. I will cherish this always.
I have always been in love with Lee's blog, her blocks and quilts are so beautiful. I am so proud that she said yes to doing this hop and the result of this quilt blows my mind. What I enjoyed most about her post though, was the photo of the quilt on the snow, and her comment that if you squint, you can imagine it on a beach. ReplyDeleteshe makes everything look easy, like squirting a bit of fresh lemon on a heavy sauce dish to freshin- it up...and she doesnt mind if you take a bit off her plate, she shares, shares and shares.. and she always answers emails with being completely polite. Just look at her site,, its just brightness and cheery like her smile. If I were to meet any blogger I follow, first I would want it to be her. Honestly..

I have been reading her material and sewing with her since Zakka 101, It was midnight, I am trying to learn to sew and make this project for the week, I post a comment on Flick for help, BANG ! and instantly an email pops up helping me..she does her research like she says and hey ' if it dont work, do it another way" thats a great attitude, I love it. and she does share too..

ReplyDeleteFaith's quilt is lovely. I was surprised when people pointed her at the Trip Around the World block for this as I hadn't realised that's what it was. It looks like a lot of work and I love the way she pieced it diagonally.

ReplyDeleteI love the modern look and the quilting lines in Lindsay's quilt! This illustrates just how versatile this fabric is! It could be used for a sweet child's quilt with animal motifs, or it can be used in a bold modern quilt! Wonderful colors and texture.

ReplyDeleteOn Lindsay's day, Feb 25, I liked that fact that she showed the variety of the fabrics in big enough pieces so we could enjoy them. I also like the setting she used. It gives a lot of energy to her quilt.

ReplyDeleteFaith's Around the World blocks show what modern fabrics look like in traditional settings. Her unique take on the fabric reminds me again how much I love the cheery colors of the 30s fabrics. I love that she got the idea from an ad that used a picnic cloth. It is perfect for that.
ReplyDeleteToday's hop spot--Amy--inspired me to think about how I could use some of my favorite fabrics. You know, the ones you don't want to cut up because you enjoy the design so much! I see one of her quilt patterns in my future. It is just right for your fabric line. I would hate to lose those pretty butterflies and that cute zebra that itsy-bitsy piecing might obscure.

ReplyDeleteI love the beautiful quilt by Linday . I too tend to go with darker colors for my home, but love the bright colors in quilts. I love her quilting and wish I could learn to do that on my machine.

Irst, I love the backdrop compared to mius 8 C here. And I love the simplicity and organic pattern of 1 large, 3 small sections. I just caught up to Amy's post from Friday. :)

The deep blue really makes Safari Moon shine! I would never have thought to use such a strong color!

ReplyDeleteToday I enjoyed thinking of Lee's quilt as a star floating in the night sky. I can be so afraid of navy blue, but she did such a beautiful job choosing that background. It really highlights the Safari Moon and is beautiful all alone.
